About // Seattle underground DIY powergaze queerpunk riotfemme solo-for-now recording project. Unincorporated around ~ May 2020, Anons sound rose from the bygone ashes of the last days where reels spun, signals were pushed hot, recall was tedious and artists had incomes. Unconventional techniques are often applied in the creation process, with regular use of cassette formats, hybrid workflows and obscure outbard equipment, often executed in bedroom settings or other questionable environments. Anons is the antithesis to the industry, yet simultaneously infiltrates what it was. Or, what it could've been.
So-called origins date back to the ancient fever dream of November 2019, wherehaveth a washed-up piano-weilding Glennlivet-guzzling sailor tooketh thy pseudonym "Anonymuss". During the recording of Message (2019) at Anon Studios, the sailor experienced numerous interuptions in navigating the project, by a pesky soon-to-(should)-have-been Ex. During the sessions, a resulting escapade to Las Vegas resulted in copious infidelity on his, and presumably both parties' behalfs. As the album drew to a close, Anonymuss somehow, vanished to the seas once again; Proving his undying infidelity to those in his life, and projects that could've saved him from self destruction. Hence, in the absence of the Great Arcanum Anonymuss, Anons Infidelity was born in homage to hopes of times past, decomposing on a salty vessel on the Baring Sea. A multifaceted metaphor to be applied anywhichway.
